Sephora

I visited Kingsway Burnaby Sephora to buy my mother’s birthday present and asked the staff for the item, The staff told me to wait and didn’t come, so I asked another staff for help and the staff was very unfriendly, made me feel bad. The staff gave the card machine and force me to pay, I didn't want to buy anything from that staff, I told the staff that I would pay it at the counter, I grab the item and waited in line at the counter. The manager came and asked what was going on, and when I explained the situation, manager didn't listen and ignored me, The manager took the item out of my hand and kicked me out. Insulted me, The Sephora security guard didn’t even see it anything and yells “You can’t come into this store you are life time ben” in front of so many customers. I was with my 5years old nephew when this happened. When I think of the hurt my nephew I can’t even sleep because of it. I don’t know where to write this, so I am writing it here. Please tell me where to write this so this doesn’t happen to other customers. Because it was the worst experience of my life.

Unfortunately Sephora here in metrotown has become the worst. I waited for 20 minutes I asked the girl in the front door if she could send me someone to help with the right foundation she told me to wait. I waited with my 3 years old and nobody showed up. I asked a Spanish girl she was with someone else and I asked if she could send me someone well unfortunately I wasted 30 minutes waited for someone and nobody showed up horrible experience never going there again sorry but I really upset.

Today, I had an experience while shopping for a hair product that left me feeling unwelcome. Upon entering, it seemed like the staff were disengaged, with minimal eye contact and a lack of apparent assistance. After some effort, I located a staff member and, with a product in hand, attempted to inquire about it. However, my question was swiftly interrupted, and I was told, “This is really good, very good,” before I could finish my sentence. This not only demonstrated a lack of knowledge but also a deficiency in customer service. In an environment where one expects to be inspired to make purchases, the staff’s appearance and demeanor play a crucial role. Unfortunately, many staff members seemed uninterested, lacking the enthusiasm that would typically make the shopping experience enjoyable. Moreover, the overall presentation, including a lack of makeup and a somewhat unkempt appearance, contributed to a perception of subpar hygiene. It’s disheartening, especially when there are numerous knowledgeable and enthusiastic individuals who would eagerly embrace the opportunity to work in such a setting. Given the reputation of places like Sephora, it’s disappointing to encounter a team that doesn’t fully embrace the potential for positive customer interactions and sales.

I had an amazing brow shaping experience with Anna at Sephora in Metrotown. She was professional, attentive, and incredibly skilled. Anna understood exactly what I wanted and delivered perfectly shaped brows that enhanced my natural features. Her meticulous approach and gentle technique made the whole process comfortable. The transformation was remarkable, leaving me with fuller, well-defined brows. I highly recommend Anna for her expertise and excellent customer service. I usually like shopping at Metropolis but my visits at this Sephora has been chaotic yesterday and a few weeks ago. I understand if the holidays were straining, but this makes me want to avoid this place and makes me doubt Sephora’s values. Things are messy, foundation samples are old and mainly the staff were unpleasant. The cashier wasn’t paying attention to the money I gave her and rang in the wrong amount then she had to call a manager, no one even apologized and they thought it was funny. Prior to that it took time before I even got any help getting my products. A floor staff was only trying to be helpful near closing time… but her assistance was superficial. You can tell when someone is attentive. She said “Let me help you ring your items in” then on the way to the cashiers she got distracted with a coworker and started chatting with them LOL. What a joke… terrible customer service!

HORRIBLE SERVICE AT THIS LOCATION. Took 30 minutes to pick up an online order!!! Unacceptable when there is no line at the cash desk and some workers are just standing around at the front. I let the greeter know right when I entered the store that I was picking-up an order and she told me to wait by the pick-up station. 10 minutes passed and no one came so I took the liberty of going up to the cash desk to get some assistance. They reassured me that someone was coming and told me to go back and wait by the pick-up station. It took another 20 minutes for someone to come and fulfill my order. VERY DISAPPOINTED. 👎🏾 I’ve never written a google review before and I never thought it’d be for a place like Sephora. This ROUGE member will be shopping elsewhere. WAY better service at Guildford or Grandview Corners.

The products are great here! But my only complaint is that when I went here with my friend during summer, two male staff members were following us around and made us extremely uncomfortable! I know its normal but they would follow and stare at us like we were about to steal something. Personally we think that offended us.. And also one of the other staff member didn't even bother to help us with some help, I know she heard us but she walked away.
